COVID-19 remains a struggle in Malawi, especially in the cities. Until January, there were less than 200 deaths in the whole country. In that month alone, there were over 500 deaths. As of March, the spread has begun to slow, schools have reopened, and vaccine rollouts have begun.

The best weapon against COVID-19 in Malawi is to support our brothers and sisters with access to clean water, handwashing stations, and training (known as WASH initiatives).
